
Medical Office Authorization Coordinator
Job Description
Join our family-focused, energetic, friendly team at Seattle Therapy Network! Seattle Therapy Network is a multi-disciplinary clinic focused on enabling every child. We are seeking a part time or full-time organized, caring, and team-oriented Authorization Coordinator.
The medical office authorization coordinator is primarily responsible for providing friendly and compassionate client services primarily through ensuring access to insurance. Candidate must be skilled in prioritizing, communication, organizing, and working both independently and collaboratively.This position ensures a smooth and organized client and provider experience in administrative aspects of the office.
Responsibilities
General office administrative:duties including managing electronic medical record information, supporting with health insurance verification and authorization, patient payments, invoicing, inventory/ordering supplies, light bookkeeping, database support, filing, scanning, light housekeeping, supervising interns, updating HIPAA and organization compliance documents, communicating with community partners, light social media support, assist with various projects as needed.
Covid-Safety: ensuring proper screening and safety of the clinic including screening clients/staff/visitors for symptoms, recording safety measures, providing sanitizing/disinfecting support for clinic, supporting implementation of appropriate health and safety protocols per CDC, DOH, OSHA to limit exposure to COVID-19.
Client Customer Service:greets clients and all duties associated with front desk and reception responsibilities including scheduling, assisting with new intakes and referrals, answering and responding to phone messages, faxing, corresponding internally and externally, collecting patient payments.

Desired Characteristics

2 years of administrative support in medical field

Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Experience with Electronic Medical Records

Post High-school Degree/Certificate
